Lion Room

Pre-Kindergarten

Our lion room is tasked with preparing our children for the transition to Kindergarten. These Roarin’ teachers are experts in independent learning, literacy and math and technology. This team carefully maps out the day to expose their students to various independent opportunities, including, following a routine, mastering multi-step directions, understanding expectations, thinking critically and solving problems. A multi-disciplinary approach is used to make reading and math fun and meaningful. Children participate in Hand Writing Without Tears in addition to pre-reading and math. Through use of our SMART board, SMART table and iPads, our Pre-K teachers appropriately expose their class to the newest educational technology. In conjunction with all our teachers, the Lion Tamers are highly educated and support the importance of learning through play and the benefits it has on social and emotional development.
